The THALES + FRIENDS organization continues its activities with a series of video interviews with leading figures in science, literature and the arts.

The group’s initiative entitled “Meetings on the Bridge” – an allusion to bridging the gap between science and various forms of cultural activities – continues with American writer and mathematician William Dunham’s interview with Professor of Statistics Petros Dellaportas.

William Dunham is professor emeritus of mathematics at Muhlenberg College. He has received three awards from the Mathematical Association of America for his outstanding writing achievements. His books, Journey Through Genius: The Great Theorems of Mathematics, The Mathematical Universe, and Euler: The Master of Us All, have been translated into many languages.

Petros Delaportas is co-founder of the group THALES + FRIENDS, Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business and at University College London. Since 2016, he has been a Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute, the National Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in the UK.

We thank Yannis Papadogonas, creator of the “Efaltirio” publications, for his valuable support in making this interview possible.
